How secure is it to pay online?
Your transaction is safe and secure. All online credit card transactions in Astrology.com's Shop are handled with industry-standard SSL encryption -- one of the most widely used secure server software types and the same technology used by all major Internet stores. When a credit card number is entered into the order form, it is transmitted across the Internet in an encrypted (scrambled) form, then decoded when it gets to our computers.

Can anyone else see my birth information?
Each order placed through our Charts & Readings section (whether a free sample or full-length paid reading) is delivered to a unique URL (Web location) that is sent only to the email address you provide. We do not disclose this URL or your profile information to other parties. If you are still concerned about this issue, we suggest the best way of protecting your identity is to use initials or some other form of identification rather than your full name. Changes to your name will not affect the outcome of your Astrology Reading, as this reading is based on your birth information. If you are using a shared or public computer and do not want other users to see your birth information, select "No, please do not save this profile" at the bottom of your profile information page.

How do I save my profile so I won't have to type in my birth information every time I would like to use our Charts & Readings section?
Once you enter your birth details onto a profile page in our Charts & Readings section, follow the instructions at the bottom of the page to save your profile for future use. Note: This information is not stored in our records. Rather, your profile information will be saved in a "cookie" on your computer. If you are using a public computer, or you share your computer with people that you do not want to share your birth details with, you should not save your profile information.

Now that I have saved my profile, how do I make changes to or delete it?
To make changes to a saved profile: Please visit http://shop.astrology.com and select the desired profile from your saved profile list.

You will be sent to a different screen, where you will have an opportunity to click on the "Edit Information" link below your profile. Make the necessary changes and hit the "Save Changes" button. Then, you may follow the prompts to complete your request.

Your updated profile will automatically be saved onto your computer.

To delete a saved profile: Please visit http://shop.astrology.com and select the desired profile from your saved profile list.

You will be sent to a different screen, where you will have an opportunity to click on the "Delete Information" link below your profile. Your profile will be deleted and you will have the opportunity to select a new profile to complete your order.

Does Astrology.com's Charts & Readings section account for time changes and time zones in calculating birth time information?
Please enter the local clock time of birth as the birth time. Our system is programmed to account for all time zones and time changes, such as Daylight Savings Time and War Time.

How can I find out what time I was born?
If you would like a birth time reading, but don't know how to find your birth time, follow this link. There are resources available for those born in the United States that will help you find or request a copy of your birth certificate.

How do I enter my birth city?
When searching for the birth city, be sure to:
- Type in your birth city name in the city field. Be sure to check spelling first.
- Select a state for US locations only.
- Confirm correct spelling. It is easy to omit or mistype a letter or two.
- As a last resort, enter the name of a neighboring or nearby city.

What do you mean, a "link?"
A link (in computer lingo) is a way to move from one document to another document. Generally a link in an email or on a web page is underlined and may have a different color text. When referring to the "link" to your reading, we can mean one of two things:

a) The underlined title of a reading ("Free Sample Profile Reading for.."). This will appear once you have filled out the form to request a free chart or finished placing an order online.

b) The Web link contained in a follow-up email (i.e.: http://rep.astrology.com/free/xxxx/xxxx/index.html).

When you encounter a link, you will need to move your cursor until you see a little hand appear, then click on it. If the link in your email does not respond when you click on it, please copy (or cut and paste) the link into your web browser.

What are my payment options?
Astrology.com accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit and debit cards, as well as online payment through PayPal and FIRSTGATE click&buy®. Astrology.com also offers a pay by phone service that allows you to provide your payment information to a Customer Service representative over the phone. (Payments by phone are processed safely online with the same security measures used for all other payment methods.)

How do I pay by PayPal or FIRSTGATE?
PayPal and FirstGate are services that allows you to make online payments using your credit card or bank account. Once you have selected the reading(s) you would like to purchase, choose "Pay by PayPal" or "Pay by FIRSTGATE" as your payment option and follow the instructions provided. After you have confirmed the information necessary to process your reading, you will be transferred to the payment processor that you selected to complete your transaction. The transaction will only take a few moments, and once it is complete, you will be transfered back to our Charts & Readings section, where you can immediately access your reading(s).

If you are a resident of the EU, please select FirstGate as your payment option.

How do I pay by phone?
When you pay by phone, you simply provide your credit card information to an Astrology.com Customer Service representative at our toll-free number; the charge for your reading(s) then appears on your credit card bill. Once you have chosen what you would like to purchase, select "Pay by Phone" as your payment option and follow the instructions provided. The birth profile and order information you've already entered will be available to the representative for about an hour, so you may want to call within that time frame. After that, the representative can walk you through re-entering your request.

If a Customer Service representative is not available, then the pay by phone option is not displayed.

When will I receive confirmation of my purchase?
You will receive automatic follow-up emails for each order you have placed. This is an automated system, activated each time you request a free or paid reading. The follow-up emails include a link to the online location of your order and act as a reminder for you to print or save your reading. Unless you have specifically signed up to receive your Daily Horoscope or one of our other newsletters, you will only receive these follow-up emails. Astrology.com will not sell or give your email address to anyone else.

What is your exchange policy?
Please be sure to review online examples of readings you intend to order before making the purchase. All sales are final. We do not issue refunds, however should you find a paid reading unsatisfactory, we will happily exchange it for another reading of equal value. This exchange can only be made by a Customer Service Representative. Please DO NOT place duplicate orders online: If you are having trouble receiving an order, are unhappy with a reading or are experiencing any ordering difficulty, please contact Customer Service at your earliest convenience at paidhelp@astrology.com.

What if I was born during the summer in Illinois before 1959 or Pennsylvania before 1971?
Illinois and Pennsylvania had special state laws requiring that birth times be recorded in Standard Time, even when Daylight Time was being observed. If you were born in the summer in Illinois (before 1959) or Pennsylvania (before 1971), please check your birth certificate for your birth time and the time zone. If your birth certificate specifies Standard Time (signified by "ST" after your birth time), then you must ADD one hour to your birth time when requesting charts on our service. Our system will then subtract the extra hour, "thinking" it is Daylight Time.
